Easton man faces drug, other charges
WESTPORT — An Easton man allegedly had illegal drugs, syringes and a glass smoking pipe in his car, found during a traffic stop in the early hours of Nov. 15.
An officer stopped Cavan Devine while he was driving on Myrtle Avenue just after 2:30 a.m., and the officer saw the pipe as the 24-year-old looked for his registration and insurance paperwork, according to police. In a search of the car, police also found methamphetamine and new and used syringes. Devine allegedly tried to run from police during the search, but was quickly stopped.
The resident of Silver Hill Road in Easton was charged with possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, as well as interfering with an officer for his attempt to flee the scene.
