Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service recently received a donation of $5,000 from Wells Fargo Advisors of Westport for the agency's File of Life program.

The service, free to Westport residents, is an identification and information program that helps first help first responders provide emergency, especially when communication with a patient may be compromised, according to a news release.

Through the initiative, free packets are given upon request to residents that contain an information card, a red magnetic holder and a window sticker identifying the house as a program participant, among other things.

WVEMS provided CPR training to Wells Fargo's office personnel at the request of Managing Director Christopher Calabrese, the release states.
