Duo charged with selling drugs in Brewster
Ruden Portilio was charged Feb. 26 with five counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance -- felonies that carry a potential prison term of 25 years, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
According to police, the Sheriff Department's narcotics unit received information about drug sales taking place on the streets of Brewster.

After making the arrest, police said they confiscated an unspecified amount of cocaine, marijuana, cash and false identification from the two men.
Portilio and Rodriquez are being held at the Putnam County Correction Facility.
Their names have been given to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as police suspect they may have entered the U.S. illegally.
Portilio is from Guatemala and Rodriquez is from the Dominican Republic, police said.
