Driver held in death of postal carrier

MANCHESTER ?— A Glastonbury woman was charged Saturday with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle in the death of a postal carrier in Manchester.

Tracy Watson, 38, also was charged with evading responsibility and failure to yield to a pedestrian.

The postal carrier, who was not identified, was struck at about 11:30 a.m. while delivering mail, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they had few details about the accident, and were investigating.

Watson was held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is to be presented in Manchester Superior Court Monday.
