The driver of a car that rolled over Friday night on Saugatuck Avenue apparently suffered only minor injuries, according to fire officials.

The incident, which took place shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, involved a single vehicle that flipped over in the road's northbound lane near Pierway Landing.

The driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was able to get out of the car by the time firefighters arrived on the scene, according to the report. Checked by Westport EMS personnel, the driver appeared to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries, firefighters said.

The accident remains under investigation by police.
