A New Canaan woman was charged with driving under the influence last week after police said the car she was driving was seen moving erratically on Riverside Avenue.

Malgorzata Jaros, 36, of Hill Street in New Canaan, was charged Sept. 28 with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to drive in the proper lane on a multiple lane highway and failure to signal properly or grant the right of way.

After police said Jaros failed roadside sobriety tests, she was taken into custody.

She was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 8 in Norwalk Superior Court.
