Domenica "Mimma" Romeo

Born in Reggio Calabria, Italy on Feb. 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Andrea and Maria (Tegano) Galimi. She has lived in Westport many years, working as a seamstress and homemaker.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by two sons, Carlo Romeo and his wife Katie of Fairfield, and Andrew Romeo and his wife Luisa of Norwalk; two daughters, Maria Palmer and her husband Richard of Stamford, and Julia Desroches and her husband Ron of Hamden; a sister, Maria "Tita" Bellantoni and her husband John of Cos Cob; a brother, Ignazio Galimi and his wife Pina of Stamford; two sister-in-laws, Ada Galimi of Italy and Grazia Galimi of Norwalk, and 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Francesco and Antonio Galimi.
Funeral services Saturday start at 9:15 a.m. at the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Luke Church, 84 Long Lots Road, Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
