Darien's Sunday forecast: Mostly sunny with slim chance of showers

Skies will be mostly sunny today across southwestern Connecticut, but the National Weather Service says isolated showers are also possible after noon.

The daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the low-70s, with an east wind around 11 mph. The chance of precipitation is about 20 percent, the NWS says.

Tonight, isolated showers are possible late and in the early-morning hours of Monday. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 63 degrees. The wind will be from the southeast at 6 to 8 mph.

Monday will be partly sunny, with low possibility again of isolated showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. The high temperature should be about 75 degrees. At night, skies will be cloudy and a slim possibility of precipitation remains in the forecast.

Tuesday's forecast is much like Monday's: slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon, mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Overnight, the temperature will dip to the mid-60s.

On Wednesday, the weather service predicts, partly sunny although -- again -- a low likelihood of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m.
