Danbury man charged after traffic stop

Bruce Brett , 48, of Apple Blossom Lane, was observed drifting over the center line while driving northbound on Candlewood Lake Road at 1:06 a.m., police said.


Police said they found he was driving with a suspended license. He failed a field sobriety test and a subsequent search of his vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia, police said.

Brett was charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, operation with a suspended license, failure to drive in the proper lane and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released on a $1,500 bond and is due in court April 22.
