William Nachman, 20, of Tuck Lane, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. July 24 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to obey a control signal.

Nachman was seen making an illegal right turn at a red traffic light from Riverside Avenue to Bridge Street, police said. He was pulled over by an officer who detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, according to the report.

He failed field sobriety tests, police said, and was arrested.

Nachman's bail was set at $500 and he is scheduled to appear Aug. 4 in Norwalk Superior Court.
