Craig J. Maloon

Craig J. Maloon, 59, of Westport, died Aug. 19, 2010, at home.

Born in Greenville, Ohio, on June 23, 1951, he was the son of the late James H. and Frances (Trick) Maloon and was an area resident the past 43 years. He was employed as an accountant for and Computer Resolutions, both located in Bridgeport.

Maloon was a 1969 graduate of Staples High School and a graduate of Sacred Heart University with a degree in accounting. Under the pen name, C.K. Kake, he co-authored a book, "Why Not Try God," about his struggles and his return to God. He was a member of the Bahai faith.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth M. Terhaar of Danbury and Sharon Olson of Roswell, Ga.; a brother, Douglas Maloon of Bel Air, Md.; four nephews and a grandnephew.

A funeral service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Rd. East, Westport. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Main Street, Newtown. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 1 Park St., Norwalk, CT 06851.
