Cops: man charged after break-in at ex-girlfriend's house
Thomas Carstens, 46, of Soundview Drive, was arrested on multiple charges early Sunday after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend's house to confront her new boyfriend, police said.
The incident occurred at 1:34 a.m. when Carstens broke down the door of his ex-girlfriend's house, police said. A protective order had been issued against him after previous domestic disputes with his ex-girlfriend, police said.
Carstens was charged with criminal violation of a protective order, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree burglary. Bond was set at $50,000 and he was to appear Monday in Norwalk Superior Court.
