A Weston woman is facing charges following an incident about 8 p.m. Saturday that, according to the report, arose after a dispute with a man over a bar bill.

Kathleen Hill, 54, of 18 Eleven O’Clock Road in Weston, was charged with breach of peace, third-degree assault and interfering with an emergency call.

Police received a 911 call from a Westport residence where a woman was reportedly assaulting a man in the house, according to police.

Officers dispatched to the scene were advised that it sounded as if the phone was forcibly taken from the complainant and thrown, the report said.

Upon arrival, there was a small red mark on the complainant’s cheek, the report said.

The complainant told police that he was at a restaurant earlier drinking with Hill, who he claimed had become intoxicated and was asked to leave the premises, the report said. “The complainant told police that, due to her intoxication, Hill became irate and confronted the victim about leaving her to pay the bill.”

A person described as Hill’s significant other was in the house at the time of the confrontation, but could not confirm or deny the allegations made against Hill, according to the report. That person told police that he did not see Hill rip the phone away from the complainant or strike him, the report said.

Hill was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters where she was booked.

Bond was set at at $1,000 and she is scheduled to appear Aug. 11 at Superior Court in Norwalk.
