Two Westport residents in their 20s -- one of them facing a narcotics possession charge filed two days earlier -- both were charged with possession of heroin Monday after a vehicle stop.

Andrew Vaitruardrok, 25, and Alisha Wilsnack, 26, both of Mills Street, were charged after their car was pulled over and their vehicle was searched.

The Police Department's new K-9, Chase, brought to the scene by Officer James Baker, alerted officers to the presence of drugs in the car, according to the report, and a search uncovered 10 folds of heroin.

Vaitruardrok also faces another charge of narcotics possession after police were sent to the Mills Street residence on an April 11 medical call.

Both he and Wilsnack were charged with narcotics possession and were scheduled to appear on the new charges April 22 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
