Cops: Homeless woman created 'disturbance' at beach

A woman who police said is homeless was charged with creating a public disturbance Monday after a confrontation at Burying Hill Beach.

The incident took place about 11 a.m. when Megan Oddis-Switzer, 48, screamed and used foul language in a dispute with beach staff, police said. The confrontation took place nearby a camp session for young children, according to the report.

Oddis-Switzer was taken into custody and brought to police headquarters, where bond was set at $500.
