Conservative Synagogue to host deputy speaker of Israeli Knesset tonight

MK Shlomo Molla, the deputy speaker of the Israeli Knesset, will speak Friday, Oct. 14, during the Kabbalat Shabbat and Sukkot services at the Conservative Synagogue of Westport.
The program, organized by the synagogue's TCS Sisterhood and Adult Education, starts at 6:15 p.m. in the synagogue, 30 Hillspoint Road.
Molla will discuss "A View from the Knesset Israeli Policy at Home and on the International Stage." The remarks will cover his boyhood in Ethiopia to his role as deputy speaker of the Knesset. He will also share his perspective on the social and economic challenges and political implications facing Israel currently, according to a release from the synagogue.
