Collectors can share their items at Danbury Museum
DANBURY -- The Danbury Museum & Historical Society, 43 Main St., invites ardent collectors of all ages to participate in their upcoming exhibit, "Collections, Community, & Conversation...Continued," opening Jan. 24, 2015 and on display through March 21.
Brigid Guertin, executive director of the museum, explained that because of the popularity and interest in last winter's edition of Collections, Community and Conversation, the museum will offer another opportunity to the public to showcase their unique objects.
Those interested are asked to submit a sample photo or two of their items, a brief description of their collection and a bit about themselves. Items must be in good, presentable condition and information can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 10.
The collectors and collections chosen will be announced on Jan. 5, 2015.
An opening reception will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sat, Nov. 8. Registration is being taken for the reception, which is free.

LITCHFIELD -- There will be a gallery talk in Marie Louise Trichet Art Gallery at Wisdom House, 229 E. Litchfield Road, as an introduction to the exhibit, "The Distance Between Language and Light," by Lori Robeau at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Sat, Nov. 8, 15 and 22. The gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon through Sat. This exhibit will be on display through Dec. 13.
