A five-session course on making mixed-media collages is planned at the Westport Center for Senior Activities.

Classes will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on five consecutive Mondays, beginning Nov. 21 and concluding Dec. 19. Cost for all five sessions is $15. Registration is required.

Taught by Carolina Guimarey, the course will offer techniques to combine materials such as paper, fabric, string, beads and acrylics to create compositions.

A native of Argentina, Guimarey studied sculpture, drawing, painting, and photography at Escuela de Cine de Avellaneda and Universidad Tecnologica National in Buenos Aires. She now lives in Connecticut, where she continued her art education at University of Connecticut and Silvermine School of Arts.
