The Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce is conducting a photo contest of Westport scenes, and the winning and runners-up images will be featured in a visitors guide the chamber plans to publish later this year.

Entries may be submitted by any Westport resident or business owner, the chamber said.

The winning photo will be used on the cover of the visitors guide, and runners-up pictures will be used on inside pages, the chamber said in a news release. There is no limit on the number of entries one person can submit.

The visitors guide will focus on chamber-member businesses, according to the release, and will feature the town's restaurant and arts scenes. It is expected to be released in early spring and will include a pull-out map.

The chamber also

is pitching exposure

in the guide as an incentive for businesses to join the chamber.

The photo contest will be judged by the chamber's board of directors, and the deadline for entries is Feb. 15.

Digital images may be emailed to, with "photo contest" in the subject line.

Photographers whose images have been selected for the guide will be notified in March, the chamber said.
