A 25-year-old California man stopped by police for speeding was later charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Justin Dicosola of Los Angeles was traveling at 67 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone in the Dec. 27 incident, according to police.

After he was stopped by police, officers said they detected a "strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his person," according to the report.

Police said Dicosola also "failed roadside sobriety tests." He was subsequently charged with operating under the influence.

Dicosola released after posting a $500 cash bond and was slated to have appeared Dec. 30 in Norwalk Superior Court.
