Brookfield man charged with DUI

Police said an officer observed Brad Balbierer, 40 of Bonny Road driving through two stop signs at about 11 p.m.

During the investigation, police allegedly detected an odor of alcohol on Balbierer's breath. Following a field sobriety test, Barbierer was found to be driving under the influence, police said.

Police also allegedly found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Balbierer's car.

Balbierer was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to obey a stop sign.

He was released on $100 bond and is due in court on April 29.
