Bridgeport man allegedly sped while drunk

WESTPORT—A Bridgeport man was charged with speeding and drunk driving on the Sherwood Island Connector early Saturday morning, police said.
Officers utilizing radar caught Christian Ulisse, 48, traveling at 67 mph on the connector and, upon pulling Ulisse over, detected an odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and learned he’d consumed alcohol that evening.
Ulisse failed standardized field sobriety tests and was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and speeding. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court Dec. 22.
