BETHEL -- A 19-year-old Bethel man was arrested on drug charges Friday night after a traffic stop by Bethel Police. Police said they stopped Jason Patterson when they discovered the license plates on the car he was driving were switched from another car. A search of the car yielded a baggy of marijuana, weighing about 3 grams, and a marijuana pipe, police said. Police also said they located three knives with blades more than four inches in length and found a schedule for a drug, which requires a prescription that Patterson did not have. Patterson was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of a schedule for drug and misuse of registration. He is due in court May 4.
