Westport Public Library will host a talk by a biographer of the late playwright Wendy Wasserstein 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Julie Salamon will discuss "Wendy and The Lost Boys: The Uncommon Life of Wendy Wasserstein," a biography on the late playwright written with the full cooperation of her family and literary executors, according to the library. In writing the biography, Salamon had exclusive access to Wasserstein's private papers, journals, and letters and conducted almost 300 firsthand interviews with close family members and dozens of Wasserstein's "best friends."

Salamon has written a series of books, including Hospital, Facing the Wind, The Net of Dreams, and Rambam's Ladder. She was a reporter and the film critic for The Wall Street Journal and then a culture writer for the New York Times. She has also been an adjunct professor at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

The event is free and open to the public. For information, call 203-291-4800 or visit www.westportlibrary.org.
