Anne Hathaway buys house in Westport
WESTPORT — Make way, the Princess of Genovia has arrived in Westport.
Actress Anne Hathaway, who made her film debut as the teenage princess of the fictitious Genovia in the 2001 blockbuster, The Princess Diaries, has reportedly moved to Westport.
Although neither Hathaway, 35, nor her actor and businessman husband, Adam Shulman, are listed as grantees on any properties in Westport, neighbors and construction workers in the neighborhood abutting Compo Beach confirm Hathaway has taken up residence at 292 Como Road South.
According to town records, Mary Webster sold the five-bedroom property just blocks from the beach to Trustee Frank Selvaggi on Nov. 18, 2016 for $2.79 million.
Hathaway and Schulman have one child, son Jonathan Schulman, born in March, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, Hathaway has received worldwide acclaim for her performances in the films The Devil Wears Prada, Rachel Getting Married, Bride Wars, The Dark Knight Rises, and Les Miserables as well as many more.
