A school bus carrying local youngsters to a Trumbull summer program collided with an SUV on Roseville Road Thursday morning, but police said no one was seriously injured.
The crash took place shortly before 8:30 a.m. Thursday near Roseville Road's intersection with Colony Road, and prompted a response by Westport police, firefighters and EMS.
The drivers of both vehicles and the bus monitor were transported to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
However, the two youngsters on the bus -- 9 and 13 years old -- did not require treatment and were picked up by parents at the accident scene.
The 2004 BMW SUV suffered heavy front-end damage in the collision, police said.
The small school bus is owned by the People to Places program based in Bridgeport, according to the report. The accident is being investigated by Westport police.
