WESTPORT — A 65-year-old man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly hitting another person in the head with a pillow.

According to police reports, about 10:46 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a local residence on a report of a disturbance and a request for a medical evaluation.

Police said an investigation revealed that a verbal argument had occurred at the residence. The argument had allegedly escalated and culminated in Timothy Lester, 65, of Westport striking the victim in the head with what was described as a “heavy pillow.”

Police said the victim was hit hard enough with the pillow to cause injury.

Lester was arrested and charged with third degree assault of an elderly person and disorderly conduct. He posted a $1,000 bond and appeared in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday.
