WESTPORT — Three people were taken to the hospital after a two-car crash on Interstate 95 on Tuesday.

Westport and Fairfield fire units responded to the crash between exits 19 and 18 of I-95 south to assist state police, Westport emergency medical services and American Medical Response personnel.

During the crash, a car hit the back of a tractor trailer, fire officials said.

Three people were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but it was unclear how seriously they were injured.
