Two students — one at Weston High School and another at Weston Middle School — have tested positive for the coronavirus, Weston Public Schools announced in an email to families and staff Saturday.

Contact tracing is underway, according to the email, which also advised people to wear masks and socially distance.

“Detailed information on the status of contact tracing and any implications for schooling on Monday, October 26, 2020 at WMS and WHS will follow from Dan Doak and Lisa Wolak, respectively,” the email read. “You can expect communications no later than Sunday evening.”

The announcement comes after the school system temporarily flipped to virtual learning in late September. On Thursday, Weston Intermediate School Principal Pattie Falber also wrote to her school’s families that there were “39 students and staff who have been asked to quarantine.”
