BETHEL — Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment after a head-on crash in Bethel on Friday night, according to officials.

Firefighters responding to a report of a crash on Route 6 arrived to find two vehicles with front-end damage after a head-on collision.

Stony Hill Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Magyar said, despite the damage, extrication was not required.

Two people were sent to Danbury Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Magyar said.

He said Route 6 in the area of the crash was closed briefly after the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
