Multifamily house damaged by fire in Shippan
STAMFORD — A car fire caused extensive damage when it spread to a home in the Shippan neighborhood of Stamford on Saturday afternoon, fire officials said.
Two cars were destroyed, according to Stamford firefighters, and the mutifamily at 104 Euclid Ave. home also sustained damage, fire officials said.
“Fire units quickly extinguished both the vehicle fires and the exterior fire involving the house. The fire was declared under control within 15 minutes,” the fire department said in a statement.
Nearly 30 emergency personnel responded to the blaze, and no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross responded and provided relocation services for the occupants of the rear apartment.
