STAMFORD — The Stamford Parent Teacher Council will host its annual Angela Lorenti Memorial Board of Education Candidate Forum Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The forum will be held in Stamford Government Center on the 5th floor in the Board of Education Conference Room.

A Parent Teacher Council representative will serve as moderator for the evening, and every candidate will have the chance to respond to each question. The event is structured as a forum and not a debate in order to provide opportunity for each candidate to present their views on the same topics, the council said.

The candidates will be given time to introduce themselves and share their qualifications and questions will cover a variety of topics ranging from teachers and curriculum to school buildings and community engagement.

The forum is named in honor of Angela Lorenti, a former Board of Education member and lifetime Stamford resident who was a passionate supporter of public education in Stamford.; 203-964-2265; @SophieCVaughan1
