Norwalk-based Goose headlines Stamford Pizza in the Park event
The Norwalk-based indie-groove band Goose will headline Pizza in the Park on Saturday, June 15, at Mill River Park in Stamford.
Pizza In The Park will feature a pop-up beer garden, pizza vendors from Connecticut and beyond, 3-plus hours of live music, lawn games and a pizza making competition. The festival is held in support of the Mill River Park Collaborative and is hosted by Half Full Brewery.
The headlining gig marks Goose’s second appearance at Pizza in the Park in as many years and falls in the midst of an extensive summer tour, featuring 20-plus shows in 12 states.
After Pizza in the Park, Goose will head west for a string of shows in Colorado and the Midwest. Upcoming shows will feature an eclectic mix of fan favorites from their 2016 album “Moon Cabin,” funky covers and plenty of new material that will be featured on their forthcoming studio album, set to be released later this year.
Goose was formed in 2014 by longtime collaborators Rick Mitarotonda, Ben Atkind (drums) and Trevor Weekz (bass). Peter Anspach (guitar, keys, vocals) rounds out the lineup.
