More severe storms could be headed to Connecticut
There could be more severe thunderstorms headed Connecticut’s way this week.
Monday will be sunny with highs near 86 degrees, but the outlook on the rest of the week is not as bright. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Fairfield and New Haven counties from Tuesday through Friday.
“The primary threats are damaging winds and large hail. There is also a flash flood threat for the area, with torrential rainfall likely in any storms that develop,” the NWS said.
Forecasts estimate that the state could see upward of three inches in rainfall through Wednesday night, in addition to high winds and hail.
Rains are expected to persist until Friday.
