ORANGE — Two New Haven women are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 25 to face charges that they shoplifted from a local Kohl’s store.

According to Orange police, on the afternoon of Feb. 10, officers responded to the Kohl’s at 250 Bull Hill Lane on a report of a shoplifting. Officers reportedly arrived at the store and found Dalimar Morales-Colon, 38, and Zuliannette Miranda-Morales, 20, in the loss prevention office. Officers’ investigation revealed that the two were allegedly concealing items in the fitting room. Subsequently, they were taken into custody and charged.

Morales-Colon was charged with sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. Miranda-Morales faces those same charges, as well as second-degree criminal trover.

The two were released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 25. Though the two have similar last names, the police report didn’t state what their relationship was.
