13th Annual Caribbean Jerk Fest planned for Saturday in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — The 13th Annual Caribbean Jerk Festival is scheduled to take over McLevy Green in downtown on Saturday.

The event, sponsored by the West Indian American Association of Greater Bridgeport, runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McLevy Green, 102 Bank St.

Attendees can expect to see various food vendors, including Amesome Sauce, Caribbean Mix-it-Up, Ethan’s Grill Food Truck, Mommy’s Patties, Next General Concessions, Jackie’s Tropical Fruits, Hazel & Carl Cuisine and R&R Catering.

There will also be business and merchandise vendors, including Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust, Kingston Krafts, Parker’s Pampering and more.

There will be music provided throughout the event by DJ Ruler Tone. There will also be an additional line-up of various other entertainers.

The Jerk Fest is sponsored by the City of Bridgeport, PSEG, Ernest & Joan Trefz Foundation, People’s United Bank, Golden Crust and Bruce Sanderson.
