Westport yoga classes teach breathing, movement and meditation
Yoga classes at the Westport Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave., will teach participants breathing and meditation techniques.
Yoga for Total Health: The class is offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. The fees are subject to the number of classes conducted.
Self-Awakening Yoga: Participants will learn the postures integrating breathing and meditation techniques. The class will take place on Saturdays from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 8 to March 26. The cost is $48.
Core Strength Yoga: Attendees will learn movement and breathing to promote awareness, circulation and strength. The class will take place on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. on Jan. 8 to March 26. The cost is $48.
Very Gentle Yoga: The class will include basic supported Yoga postures. It will take place on Saturdays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 8 to March 26. The cost is $48.
Beginner's Qigong: The class will focus on energy exercises for strengthening and healing. It will take place on Mondays from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 3 to March 28. The cost is $44.
The Yogic Art of Meditation and Breath: The class will target gentle stretching. It will take place on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 20 to March 10. The cost is $32.
