"WAC This Way," a series of tours to Fairfield County museums and galleries, will make its first stop at the Bellarmine Museum of Art at Fairfield University at 10 a.m. March 3.

The program of the Westport Arts Center was initiated a year ago by Danielle Ogden, the director of education at the WAC. In addition to Bellarmine, two more tour destinations in Fairfield County are planned.

The Bellarmine Museum was inaugurated in the fall and has a varied collection of paintings, sculpture and decorative art objects, including 10 paintings by masters from the Italian Renaissance and Baroque periods and a large selection of historic plaster casts of works from ancient Greece and Rome. Jill Deupi, museum director and art history professor, will lead the tour.

The cost is $35 for WAC members and $40 for non-members. Space is limited. Registration is encouraged by calling 203-222-7070.

On April 6, the tour will travel to the Bruce Museum of Arts and Sciences in Greenwich to see a range of works by artist Cindy Sherman, an American photographer and film director. The tour begins at 10 a.m. and costs $35 for WAC members and $40 for non-members.

On May 23, there will be two trips to the Philip Johnson Glass House in New Canaan is the final stop. The historic property, built in 1949, was designed by architect Philip Johnson and is an example of one of the earliest uses of industrial materials like glass and steel in home design. The tours begin at 11 a.m. and noon. The cost is $60 for WAC members and $75 for nonmembers.
