Eve Ensler's award-winning play, "The Vagina Monologues," will return for an April 3 benefit performance at the Westport Country Playhouse.

Directed by the Center Stage Theatre Company's Jill Jaysen, the production highlights Westport's participation in V-Day, a global observance designed to boost awareness about violence against women and girls.

The performance will raise funds for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, a Fairfield County organization that offers counseling, legal and housing advocacy services, as well as a 24-hour hotline.

"It has been both a privilege and an honor to be a catalyst for the change we all want to see in our community, to authentically connect with the lives of these women, and in so doing, with ourselves." Jaysen said in a press release.

The playhouse will stage performances of "Monologues" at 1 and 5 p.m. April 3. Reserved seating tickets are $25, $35 and $50, and can be purchased through the playhouse box office at 203-227-4177 or online at www.westportplayhouse.org.
