Carly Nicole Nemirow and Dr. Nathan Seth Trueger were married on Dec. 4 at sunset overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Sea Horse Ranch, a private resort in Sosúa, Dominican Republic. Rabbi Stephen Spiegel of Pompano Beach, Fla., officiated.

The couple resides in New York City where the bride is a registered dietitian at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell and the groom is a third-year resident in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. The couple met while living in Chicago three years ago after being tricked into their first date by the groom's good friend at medical school and the fiancé of the bride's twin sister.

The bride received her Bachelor of Science from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed her nutrition course work at New York University and her dietetic internship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital College. She is the daughter of Bruce and Joan Nemirow of Westport. The bride's mother is an interior decorator who founded Joan Nemirow Designs. The bride's father is a founding partner in the New York brokerage firm of Capital Growth Securities.

The groom, who is known as Seth, received his Doctor of Medicine from the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine after receiving his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. He is the son of Howard and Barbara Trueger, Ed.D, of Jersey City, N.J. The groom's mother is an educator in the Springfield, N.J., public schools and his father is a project coordinator specializing in commercial construction in New York City.
