Lisa Anne Ferris weds Frederick Leon Despres

The wedding took place at Glessner House Museum, a restored architectural landmark, which the groom's grandparents, Leon and Marian Despres, helped to save. The Hon. William J. Bauer, judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, presided.
Lisa Despres is a line cook at Topolobampo Restaurant, a one-star Michelin restaurant in Chicago. She formerly worked at Taskashi, a Japanese-French fusion restaurant and other restaurants in Chicago. She graduated from Joliet Central High School and from the International Culinary School at the Illinois Institute of Art.
Frederick Despres is a sous-chef for Takashi, also a one-star Michelin restaurant. He formerly worked for Oceana Restaurant in New York City. He graduated from The Gunnery school, attended Lake Forest College, and graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York City.
The couple live in Joliet, Ill., in a home which formerly belonged to the bride's grandmother. They plan to take a honeymoon later this year.
