Ira Joe Fisher, television personality, writer and poet, will speak on "Poetry: A Morning with the Muse" at the next meeting of the Westport Y's Women set for Monday, March 14.

The meeting begins with coffee at 11 a.m., followed by the program at 11:30 a.m. in the Unitarian Church. Meetings are for members only, but the group's membership chairwoman, Ann Lloyd, will be on hand to enroll new members.

Fisher has been awarded two regional Emmys for television writing, and was a contributing editor for Spokane magazine through the late 1970s. He has written newspaper columns for the Stamford Advocate and the Greenwich Time.

His poetry has appeared in many publications.

Fisher for many years was on CBS television's "Early Show." and has appeared in stage productions, including "The Fantastics" and "The Prince and the Pauper."
