Signups for ice skating instruction for people of all ages are being accepted by the Westport Parks and Recreation Department. It will take place at the Westport P.A.L. rink at Longshore.

The program is a 10-week session, from Nov. 30 to Feb. 20. Instruction will be provided various days and times, including weekends. Classes range from beginner to advanced. The instruction follows the United States Figure Skating Association's "Learn to Skate" program.

Beginner and advanced instructional hockey is also available for children, boys and girls, ages 5 to 13.

Cost for the instruction is $150. There is an additional fee for non-Westport residents of $20 for children and $35 for adults.
