The Weston gymnastics team scored 94.8 points at the SWC championships Thursday and finished last in the five-team field.

"I thought we did a good job at SWCs," Weston junior tri-captain Alexis Gandal said. "Everyone was working very hard. Not everyone was feeling 100 percent but we pulled through.."

Gandal led the Lady Trojans with an all-around score of 26.

"I thought overall, I did pretty well," Gandal said. "We had a lot of meets last week and I felt the wear and tear but I still pushed through it."

She scored a 7.8 on vault by doing a front hand spring vault. Normally, Gandal does a half on, half off, but her back and ankle injuries forced her to change her vault.

"I was pretty happy with my vault performance," Gandal said. "I put in all the energy I had left since it was my last event."

In addition to vault, Gandal scored a 6.9 on floor exercise, 6.5 on the balance beam and a 4.8 on the uneven bars.

Freshman Keturah Sarno had an all-around score of a 25.95, which included an 8.15 on vault and a 6.7 on floor. Junior tri-captain Maddie Ratte tallied a 7.9 on vault. 6.7 on floor and a 6.2 on beam. Junior tri-captain Lena Romaldini had a 6.2 on beam and freshman Natalie Hassett scored a 6.1 on floor.
