Greenwich, Cheshire keep grip on top spots in CT volleyball poll

Greenwich and Cheshire each picked up a win over a ranked opponent to remain unbeaten and keep their holds on the top two spots in the second Connecticut high school girls volleyball coaches poll.

The No. 1 Cardinals (9-0), who have extended their winning streak to 22 matches, defeated Ludlowe 3-0 last Wednesday, to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season. Despite the loss, Ludlowe jumped one spot from to No. 6 in this week’s poll.

No. 2 Cheshire (11-0) knocked off Amity in a battle of unbeatens last Friday. Amity dropped three spots to No. 9.

RHAM moved into the poll at No. 7, and Granby Memorial moved in at No. 10, while Farmington and Bristol Eastern dropped out.
