Attention LEGO-lovers.

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk will celebrate the Danish family-owned company that makes those colorful interlocking plastic bricks on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27-28.

Throughout the weekend, LEGO experts from Play-Well TEKnologies will “create an enormous Aquarium-themed scene” made entirely out of LEGO blocks in Newman’s Own Hall (near the seals), according to spokesman Dave Sigworth.

“The experts will create the scene, but it needs animals! Aquarium guests can build a small LEGO marine creature that will be part of the finished piece, or create pieces of their choosing.”

Sigworth said that additional LEGO-focused activities will be announced and offered on the special weekend.
