Comedic ‘Stage Kiss’ to be performed at TheatreWorks New Milford

Two actors, who have a history with each other, are thrown together as the romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, in the comedic play, “Stage Kiss.”
They quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. The charming tale explores what happens when lovers share a stage kiss, or when actors share a real one.
Written by Sarah Ruhl, “Stage Kiss” will be presented at TheatreWorks New Milford, Friday, Dec. 8, through Saturday, Jan. 6. This highly theatrical, not-so-romantic comedy is directed by Nina Agostine Smith.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, senior citizens are invited to a free dress rehearsal at 8 p.m. The following Thursday, Dec. 14, there’s also a show at 8 p.m. and it’s pay-what-you-want night.
A New Year’s Eve gala and fundraiser is set for Sunday, Dec. 31, at 8 p.m. Tickets, $80, include the show plus hors d’oeuvres and an open bar of wine, beer and soft drinks.
