Woman arrested on drug charge after razzing child

A woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly had a run-in with a neighbor's child.

Police said the complainant -- the child's mother -- reported that Jessica Rodrigues, 31, of 214 Country Road, stuck her tongue out at the 7-year-old girl after pulling into her driveway. The mother then reported this incident to the police.

When officers arrived at the woman's house, they reportedly smelled marijuana. When asked about the odor, the woman allegedly began to cry and showed the officers marijuana she reportedly possessed.

Rodrigues was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a written promise to appear Sept. 27 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
