Four programs, geared to helping jobseekers re-energize their searches, will be offered by the Westport Library in January.

All programs will take place in the McManus Room, and are free and open to the public.

On Jan. 5 at 10 a.m., "LinkedIn with Jan Wallen," the author of "Mastering LinkedIn in 7 Days or Less," will show attendees how to use the business-oriented social networking tool for professionals to exchange information, ideas and opportunities.

On Jan. 13 at 10 a.m., "Orientation to Healthcare Careers" will feature Deidre Johnson, health career adviser for Connecticut Community Colleges. She will discuss the many programs in nursing and allied health careers offered by community colleges. Participants will also be offered a free healthcare-assessment practice test. On Jan. 20 at 10 a.m., Johnson returns to review the results of the practice test given and continues discussion of the options available for those interested in allied health careers. To register for either the Jan. 13 or 20 sessions, visit www.westportlibrary.org.

On Jan. 26 at 10 a.m., with informal networking beginning at 9:30 a.m., "Energize Your Job Search," in which participants will learn how to gain the competitive edge by using valuable online tools, spot industry trends and get in-depth background information for improving their networking and interviewing skills, will take place.
