This summer, United Airlines is offering a non-stop flight, five days a week from Houston to Vail Valley.

The first flight takes off Thursday at 5:50 p.m. for the inaugural direct flight from Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport to Eagle County Regional Airport, which is in Eagle, Colorado. Round-trip service will be available five days a week through August 25.

The flight to Houston will depart the Colorado airport at approximately 7:20 a.m. with an arrival at 10:40 a.m. The new flight gives guests to the Vail and Beaver Creek resorts in Vail Valley, according to the Vail Valley Partnership.

"Texas is one of our largest markets and this new, non-stop flight from Houston makes it even easier to get to the Rockies in the summertime," said Chris Romer, president of the Vail Valley Partnership, in a statement. "Escaping the summer sun in Texas has never been so easy."
